Smilies!

One thing I was worried is that as Aidan gets older, he'll be less joyful as he has more exposure to this world.

Stress, homework, assignments, living, politics, relationship, career, mortgage, etc.  FYI, I was a really joyful person too, and trying to fight every minute to stay joyful... =P

I'm really thankful that Aidan can still put on a happy face constantly.  Well, almost.  He's also a source of my joyfulness too. =P

In fact, it makes me proud that most of the time when Aidan sees me, he'll give me his truthful smile. =)

Yeah, even when mommy is changing his diaper!  lol... =D

Water fun

Talking about attachment with your kid, I had my most share during Aidan's swimming lesson for the past 2 months.

But, of course, in order to capture that memory, mommy needs to go to water instead of myself.

And look, mommy has so much fun

And proud of Aidan's courage of diving too. Actually, not that Aidan has any choice. =P

Always fun to snack

Sleepy, is the word I'd choose to describe how I am now.  The past few nights we proved that our strength is no match of little Aidan, given that he has a lot of head start in terms of rest.  For some reason he is quite distracted during his sleep during the night recently... =P

Anyway, with that smile, it still worths it.

It's always a joy to have time during weekend and capture the everyday life of mommy and Aidan.

And its moment like 'this' that really make my day.  BTW, this is Aidan's way of kissing.  He'll do this every time we ask him to kiss. =D

Mommy also always have fun little games that makes Aidan thrills.

Too bad I didn't have a chance to learn all these neat games from the community programs, or I'll sure get a share of this. =P

A walk in the snow

Not much snow this year, and I have no complain.  It reminds me of global warming, which maybe scary. =P

Mommy always treasure the opportunity to have Aidan experience Canadian snowfall tho.  Whenever she has a chance, she'll bring Aidan out to have a walk in our backyard.

But since snow is so 'precious' this year, I only got one chance to take some pictures of the 2 babies of mine.

The scene of Aidan is falling on the snow but then keeps getting back up and walk again brings warm feeling to my heart.

And good lesson for me too (again). =)

And certainly, his gesture makes me laugh too, this one looks like a baby yoga gesture to me.  =P

Simple life

Who says kids are not great teachers?  I myself has to become a humble student of my son.

He for one doesn't need expensive toys to be happy.  He doesn't need expensive trips to feel fulfilling.

A simple stick and a can keeps him entertained ...

A little piece of colored paper fulfill his curiosity ...

Going thru simple things in a bag swirl up his excitement ...

And an interaction with God's creation gives him ...

the most genuine laugh in the world...

All these observations remind me of the very important ingredient of joyfulness ... live a simple life.

Every bite is a blessing

When I was a kid, I was always taught that every single grain of rice comes from great effort, and I was taught not to waste any bite of food.  As I grow older, I couldn't agree more.

I'm always thankful that Aidan loves to eat.  Anything that we put into our mouth, he's interested to try.  Sometimes he'll walk great distance just to get a bite of our food, then he will walk away and mind his own business.

One thing usually frustrates mommy and me though.  Aidan is learning to eat on his own.  But he doesn't have the right control of his hands (and spoon) yet.  So usually by the time he's done with his own meal, 30% of his meal will end up on the ground.  Sometimes we'll need to take his food away just to show him this is not a desirable behavior.  And then you can further tell how fond of food he really is, by having 'this' expression. =)

Aidan, when you're a big boy and see this post, please understand that mommy and daddy is teaching you a valuable lesson in life.  Don't waste your food! =P
