Utilizing my skills for Him

When I first set out to have my photography business, it is my DREAM to use my skills to serve God.  After all, everything that I have in my life is from His grace.  So how can I not give it back?
I truly thank God that I had the opportunity to be invited to capture the moments for a charity event that is hosted by School for the children of the World.  Honestly, I haven’t heard about this organization before they invited me.  But after going through their website and read their mission about … “ To Empower children in developing countries through the provision of new school facilities and educational opportunity to make a difference in their lives.” , I simply cannot resist to this noble cause!

I mean, come on, when you see innocent face like that, don’t you want every child in the world have equal opportunity for education and carry this  happiness on their face? I know I do!

The event of that night is called ‘Raising Wayne’.  So you can guess it.  I have the honour to meet The Great One’s father, Walter Gretzky!  Woohoo!

Everyone who met Walter said how great and friendly he is.  When I had my personal encounter with him, his friendliness is BEYOND all the good comment I heard.  He’s funny, friendly, energetic, and very generous!

Fashionable … uhem.

uhem … I don’t think this term applies to Aidan.  Look at this pics, sigh. =D

Oh well, when you have a little kid running nonstop and spit out water all the time, how fashionable can he get? =)

It’s certainly not the dressing style I’d prefer to see of my son.  But, I value the moment more than anything else.

With the busy schedule that I have, I treasure every moment I have to be with my son (and mom).  So, weird looking dressing style?  NO PROBLEM!

In fact, it’s another valuable lesson for me.  Do I want to spend the time in being picky on how my son dress?  Or do I prefer him to optimize his time to enjoy life and being joyful?  This is something I want Aidan to learn too.

So … Aidan, when you see this post (and know how to read), remember that you were truly happy to enjoy this world, despite of not having the best clothes in the world. =)

And daddy and mommy are proud of you, when you learn this life lesson. =D

On the warm Easter weekend

It was the warmest weekend of the year so far, which is also Easter weekend.  I thank God for such BEAUTIFUL weather.  I thank Him for providing me and my family all the things we need.  And most importantly, I thank Him for sacrificing Himself to save a wretch like me!

Just like every Canadian, with a weekend of warm weather and no work, we treasure this very chance to have some fun in the park (yeah, it's hard to come by) =P.

Beware, this is a LONG post, just because I can't bare the thought of hiding all the fun from all of you. =D

And here Aidan is doing his very stylish dance ...

Woo ... does he look like a pop star from the 80s or not?  =P

From a little baby to a toddler who can move around, mommy must be really proud.

And I thank you mommy for her endless dedication in teaching Aidan to appreciate life and nature.

Some intimate moments from the mom and son ...

Before Aidan wanders off. =P

We also set out to have a little bubble fun, and Aidan is fascinated, especially when mommy blows the bubble right at his face!

Speaking of wandering off, this is actually the first time I see Aidan walks so far away from me on his own, on open ground.  That brings mixed feelings to me.  Yeah, I'm that attached to him already... =P

Anyway, before Aidan truly wanders off and have his own life, I treasure every single moment with him, and will do my best to capture moments that is precious to me.

Like this ...

and this ...

and this ...

Alright alright ... I guess that means every moment then. =D

Anyway ... below is my favorite.  A photo that actually has ME with Aidan.  Yeah, I think that's why this is my favorite too.  Thank you mommy for capturing this. =)
