His favorite toy at the moment

It's seems to be this butterfly thingie...

Everytime this thing is on his hand, he will stare at it,

Taste-it ...

Stares at it again ...

And swings it crazily.  =)

This cycles happens again and again, until of course he finds other attractions, mostly human's.  And we can usually tell his level of excitement by his feet. =)

A break from routine

It seems a century ago since I have a date with my wife.

We went to some preschool open house and used this opportunity to sneak in a coffee break.

After endless sleepless nights, it's unbelievable that mommy still has such pretty face.

Compare to me, I'm obviously the less endurable one... =P

Oh, almost time for dinner now.  Enjoy the rest of the photos.  And speaking of food ... =P

How can I resist such fat little cute hands and foot...

Wake up exercise

Something that we should learn from baby ... Exercise!

This is especially true for me.  I can't recall the last time I have intensive exercise for ... a long time. =P

In this particular session, Aidan uses his new found ability to play with his toy.  In this case, Winnie-the-Pooh.

Since this is his new skills, he can't control where the Pooh would go.  And it ends up above his head. =P

BTW, this is the brand of crib we're using.  A very decent crib with reasonable price, I'd say.

It sometimes a bit bored to take picture of a baby (not that he's not a fabulous model =P), so I wanted to take something different.  And when I've decided to take more picture of the crib, guess what he's doing ...

Yeah, he was showing off his 'reverse' sit-up. =P

Anyway, here's the last one of the day.  Enjoy...

A Reaching Hand

This is one of the many pictures I took duirng weekend.  And I like this one as it marks one of the milestones Aidan has achieved recently.  Aidan can extend his arm and reach for things now.  So whenever something interesting presents before him, he'll raise his arms to try to reach for it.  =)

Different kind of laughter

Just starting to learn how to use lightroom recently.

It's going to take some time to master the technique.  But this tool is a way better tool than photoshop, in terms of workflow!

Anyway, if you follow this blog consistently, you'll find Aidan never lacks this kind of laughter.  He's one happy baby, even though he's a bit shy sometimes.

But this kind of smile/laughter is kind of rare, even in his parents' eyes.

To me, it seems like a different kind of happiness.  This one looks like he's happy to be well fed. =)

Old friendship renewed

It's toward the end of the week I'm still reviewing last week.  =)

But it's all good as I had a chance to meet a long time friend, which I haven't met him for like 2 years.

Everybody had a great time.  My friend's girlfriend loves to play with this 4 months old meat ball.

And I had a great time talking to my friend.  Of course, I love taking pictures for them and Aidan too.

Looking at these pictures always let me think back our junior high school time.  Yes, that's how long we knew each other.  =)

I also had a chance to have a photo with Aidan too, when my other friend visited me last weekend.  The last time I take a picture with Aidan was ... sigh, more than 3 months ago... =P

I explicitly asked my friend to bounce my flash off the side wall, instead of the usual ceiling, coz I've noticed that I can't stand indirectional light anymore.  This has become my thing nowadays. =D

Success depends on your hands

Aidan becomes quite active nowadays.

While have numerous facial expression is a consistent thing of him, he's starting to reach for people with his hand now.

Of course there're good and bad.  Good is that he's now developing his coordination.  Bad is that he's often leaving marks on Daddy's and Mommy's arms and face.

Now that he has more 'mobility' with his little hands, he's learning how to sooth myself too.  His must be enjoying his thumb a lot.

And with grandma's entertainment, it's like going to the movie with popcorns.

I'm also very happy to see grandma enjoys Aidan so much.
