Allergic to nature

Not sure if it's true. But from what I've observed so far, Aidan is really not fond of ground, grass, or leaves. =P

This was taken before winter, in an attempt to capture a snapshot of Aidan enjoying nature.

Apparently, he'll only enjoy it when his butt is off the ground, regardless of who's holding him.

I hope this is only because of the sensitivity of his little butt. And this is only transitional.

So mommy doesn't need to do this every time ...

In order to get the impression from my previous post. =D

When he was one

I didn't even realize it has been that long since the blog is updated. I have every intention to post more pictures and write something on my blog. But somehow work, business, and laziness always kick in.

Yes, Aidan has turned one in November. What a difference in appear that is.

Yup, he's not a baby anymore. He now has a 'toddler' look. And with greater age, comes greater ability, such as ...

And this...

And this...

Our 1 year old celebration with Aidan is small, due to the infamous H1N1 and the mystery of all b-day babies get sick whenever there's an intention of having a big party. =P

But of course, little celebration let me have a chance to capture my son showing off his extraordinary reading skills (upside down). Even I can't do that.

And as the last show of his 1st year birthday, mommy dressed him up as a ... I don't know, animal. =)

And he seemed to enjoy it too.

Until he got too hot in his outfit. =P

Pride of a father

No doubt it has to be this $4 toy I got from mom-mom sale. =D

This has been a constant attraction for Aidan, ever since his 'crawling stage' up until now.

The buttons don't always work so even an university graduate (me) can't figure out its 'randomness'.

But this certainly is an advantage which keep itself fresh to Aidan, even to me! =P

Most importantly, Aidan still enjoys this toy and it also serves as a platform which helps him stand.

Four dollars! This really gets me thinking about how easily babies can be satisfied, and how much it takes for grown ups to be satisfied also.

Do we really need expensive toys and lifestyle to be happy? A lot of people can 'say' no. But how many people can really give that up for a simpler more joyful life willingly? I certainly am not dare to say that so easily.

So in this aspect, this innocent face is a good example for me to follow.

Here, a wave from the champ of simple life! =)

PS: Honestly, this $4 toy is not my only pride. The fact that these little feet can stand and crawl freely on the ground is the highlight of my life too! =)

But again, he's a gift from God, and I'm only his guardian in this world, so my pride of Aidan is the glory of Him! =D

AppleFest from a mom

From a mom addressing to a son ...

... "The AppleFest at Markham Museum was the first of what I hope would be many fall outings of your first year of life.

There were historical buildings to see, apple cidar to drink, apple bread to taste,

miniature choo choo train to ride; too bad you were very sleepy, and were not old enough to enjoy any of these.

But I did take you on that railway cart thingie (that moved by pumping the handle) and your daddy took some pictures of us.

Maybe next year we will go again and you can go on the choo choo and have some fun. I am sure the apple pancakes will taste good too." ...

Well, there's no rehearsal between mommy's journal and daddy's pictures. So don't be surprised if they don't match up exactly. =)

You can enjoy the rest of the album in my FB page, enjoy!

10 months old sleeper

After 10 months, I still thank God that we have a very happy and healthy baby who's not shy from smiling to everyone. So it's been a long while since I taking pictures of this 10 months old's sleeping. I still found it very cute and would like to share to everyone. =)

He's still ok sleeping in his rocker, after a tiring playing session. I wish I can sleep like that and won't suffer any back pain the next morning. =P

Now, who does he look like?

Comparing to his 0 - 3 months old feet, his funny toe is 'almost' gone. Both daddy and mommy kind of miss that.

If you following the blog, you'll notice Aidan only sleeps in one position previously. But nowadays, he has like 7 - 8 poses during each night of sleep. Too bad I can only catch one of them during his afternoon nap.

Hmm... can't resist these juicy feet. =P

Most people usually don't want their picture taken when they're just awake, because of obvious reason. But Aidan has no choice ...

I think it doesn't matter for him, as he always enjoys company and will give anyone very sweet smile when he's awake, as always. =)

Look, he's so professional as an entertainer that he'll still want to play even when he's still tired. =P

Anyway, it's a win-win situation. He got his company, and visitors got their fun. =)

Until the next showtime ...

Effort leads to accomplishment

Time for blog again. This time it is mommy urges me to update my blog. To be honest, mommy is a way better blogger than I am.

She kept her personal journal addressing to Aidan which contains some very intimate things there. Intimate to the point where my eyes will turn red from time to time. =)

Unlike the 'elders', there are only improvements of Aidan, who's quite mobile by now.

Of course, that comes with tremendous effort of him learning how to use his muscle and his desire for freedom.

The little one definitely enjoys the learning process, as there're encouragements, and attachment from mommy and daddy.

And with great effort, he can now stand up as a 'man'!

Thank you, thank you very much for your support! xxxxx...
