Spring time, outdoor photography resumed

It seems ages ago since I have some a chance to take pictures outdoor.  Not that this is the first warm day for outdoor photography.  It's because this is a warm day where I don't have to go back 'that' early to give Aidan a bath, and I have to wait for my take out before going home.  =)

I can't go very far nor stay out long.  So I have to take what's available at the time.  This is what I've learned after Aidan is borned.  =P

Lately I'm trying to practice my rim light shots.  And I've been waiting for this chance for a long long time.  Since I don't have a human subject, birds are my models this time.

It turns out not too bad at all, considering this is my first practice in outdoor environment in a long time. =)

And with more practice on fast moving animals with rim light on them, taking human shots with such effect will be easier, as they'll be more cooperating than animals, I hope. =)

Of course, animal will not be my only subjects.  I also value my opportunity to take some candid shots.  I like the composition and lighting of the above shot.  The light really adds a nice emotion to the picture.
