The A day - 1

November 15th marks the date of Aidan's arrival to our family. It also marks the date when Joanne and I begins our journey of sleep deprivation. =P

Back to the night before he's born...

The expected due date was Nov 20th. And little Aidan was naughty and break mommy's water. Joanne and I was admitted to the hospital around 1:00am on Nov 14th.

Before we're in the delivery room, we're waiting in a smaller room for examination. And that little wait costs us more than two hours. In the meant time, Joanne needs to eat something in order to build up some strength for the BIG push later.

We are finally able to get into the delivery room at around 4am. Since mommy's water has broken, we need to have induced labor and let Aidan comes out earlier than his relax schedule.

Look, beautiful mommy is still very happy playing with Aidan's diaper. That's because the induce medicine is not in heavy dose yet. Hmm... correction... mommy is beautiful regardless of situation! =)

And a lot of friends called during our LONG wait. Thanks everyone for the encouragement and your care!

One of the 'not so good' things about induced labor is that my wife can't eat solid food. So she's stuck with jello and juice. But our nurses are so nice and encouraging, so that's OK. =)

Of course there were pain and suffer (sounds like fallen into the dark side), but the reward is tremendous and after 23 hours and 43 mins, our little Aidan finally comes! You can see his weight in the picture.

And after a long hard working day (and night), mommy is back to happy face and satisfying expression. You can see that by the connection between them. =)

Last but not least, below is Aidan's 'foot ring' during his stay in hospital. =P
