Cathedral

Living in suburbs doesn't expose me to a lot of exquisite architecture. Most of the buildings are residential and factory like. Even the malls around my area looks like 2-stories warehouse. =P

The only exotic architecture I found around my area is the cathedral. And when I said 'around my area', I meant a good 20 mins drive on a very good traffic day. =)



The first time I saw this beautiful church I was attracted by the shining gold roof top of the towers. You can see the glow from miles away and the rest of the church really stands out as it's surrounded by a large piece of land.



Ever since I discovered this extraordinary building I purposedly drove by it on my way home in several occasions to capture its beauty. And with the clear autumn weather, the wonderful color of the sky really helps to emphasize the already magnificent building in the picture.



The one thing I find surprising was that this cathedral is also surrounded by a couple of sales office. One of them is called "cathedral townhouses". This triggers my feeling that this cathedral will eventually be taken down for future residential development. If that's the case, I'll be really sad. =(



And I truly hope this feeling of mine is wrong!
