Yesterday the pediatrician recommended us to breastfeed exclusively, if we want to breastfeed him. And in case we do need supplement, it's always better to use a syringe than a bottle to avoid nipple confusion. And so we did ...
But today when we go to the lactation consultant, she said the total opposite things! She encouraged us to give Aidan supplement to avoid dehydration. And that bottle is actually safer than syringe because of potential choking problem.
Since the lactation consultant is super nice and is more specialized, we're willing to put more trust on her than the pediatrician, on this very topic at least.
And thanks to their valuable opinion, we feel a lot better about Aidan's well being and have more fun during this suffocating schedule. I actually have some brief moment to take some indoor winter scene. That's Aidan's first view of Canadian snow.
And our first family picture, even though we're not very well dressed. But hey, brief moments are not easily come by these days. =)
Oh, also here's the cry of the day. I took this picture when we were getting ready to the lactation consultant. We were trying to fit him into a clothes for a 3 months old baby. Of course it didn't work too well. =)
He looks very edible like a chubby pink strawberry muffin. I can totally eat him up. I can't wait to eat... errr... meet the little guy. (Who came up with that expression, "cute enough to eat?").
ReplyDeleteYou know when his eyes are closed, I can see a bit of Tony in him (maybe it's the proportions between his features) but still very much like Jo.
